Two medicine bottles from the 18th century. Johann Maria Farina (1685-1766) was the inventor of this kind of light green bottles. Pontilled. H 24 cm, diameter 3 cm, Cap: 12 cl. This bottle type was used for many other applications such as for eau de cologne, containing balsam, oil, Haarlemmer oil.  In mint condition. One of them is found by a fisherman in the Westerschelde, Holland. Reference: Antiuque glass Bottles, Their history and evolution (1500-1850). Published by W. van den Bossche.
