An rare Belgium weather glass, circa 1850. A storm glass is a type of weather forecasting device, composed of a glass container filled with liquid. When the storm is coming, the air pressure goes down so that excess pressure in the reservoir occurs in which the water in the spout up is pressed, or thrown out if possible. Height 26 cm
