Three Bock Steger Lips anatomical models
On application
Three 1880’s anatomical models by Bock Steger Lips showing the bones and ligaments of three different joints: a foot, a knee and one children’s hip. The models are made of plaster, the anatomical model is painted in lively colours on a black base.
Anatomical foot model
A detailed depiction of the anatomy of the foot with letters and numbers to mark the different parts.
A label states: ‘Materiale consigliato dal Ministero della Pubblica Istruzione’ (translated: Material recommended by the Ministry of Education). On the side of the black base a brass plate with Bock Steger Lips sign and on the back of the pressed signature in the plaster ‘G Steger Schkeuditz’ The foot has some damage: the ankle shows a crack and also a part of the upper fibula.
Measurements: 10,5 x 25,5 x 14 cm
Anatomical knee model
A detailed depiction of the anatomy of the knee with letters and numbers to mark the different parts. The model is overall in good shape with minor chips in the paint, on the black base also a chip.
The label on the black base is a bit damaged, but based on the other model we can verify that it states: ‘Materiale consigliato dal Ministero della Pubblica Istruzione’ (translated: Material recommended by the Ministry of Education). On the side of the base a label of the distributor :Ditta G.B. Paravia E CA, Torino Roma-milano -Napoli and a brass plate with Bock Steger Lips sign

Children’s hip
A detailed depiction of the anatomy of the childrens hip with letters and numbers to mark the different parts. It can be recognized on the dots which childrens elbows have.
The model is in good condition with minor chips which come with age and fragile material. On the side of the black base two labels, one of he distributor G.B. Paravia EC, Torino-Roma-Firenze-Napoli and ‘Materiale consigliato dal Ministero della Pubblica Istruzione’ (translated: Material recommended by the Ministry of Education). Also on the side of the black base a brass plate with Bock Steger Lips sign.
