A surgical amputation and trephination set by Maison Charrière a Paris. The set is contained in an oak case with red velvet interior which is inscribed on top with “Amputation and trepan N°2”. Including 20 instruments with eight amputation knives with guilloche ebony handles, ten scalpels, a trephine with depth-adjustable head and guilloche ebony handle, a brass Petit type tourniquet and the original key.
