Brass level device for surveying or Altazimuth by F.J. Kloos. F.J. Kloos was a Marine instruments maker in Rotterdam at the end of the 19th century. The level unit is in a coffin and can be placed on a tripod. The levels must be set for time, latitude and longitude, after which the Sun is plumbed by the largest scale so that the shadow of the wire to turn sights on the point visor.
