A medical instrument, cased in a wooden box. This instrument was used to measure the extension of the breast/lungs when inhaled by patients with pulmonary diseases. They put Ivory knobs on the breast, they locked the compass with the screw in neutral position. During the inhalation the Ivory knob is pushed to the outside straight into the spring. On the scale, from 0 to 5, you can measure the extension of the breast. During the diseases you can see if there is more activity of the lungs. It’s invented or made by Otto Lund, Paris. The product is in good working order with some oxidations, measurements box 44 x 27 x 6 cm.
