19th century pewter pap bowl by A. Deschamp – A. Tournay


A Belgium early 19th century pewter pap bowl. C 1820-1830. On the bottom there is hallmark of a rose and “A. Deschamp – A. Tournay”

Frequently made from china or porcelain it is unusual to find these in pewter. They were used to feed various mixtures of gruel, milk honey and bread, or broth to ailing patients. Diameter 6,5 cm
