Dutch brass simple microscope in a mahogany case, Circa 1700 – 1750  The general construction of this brass microscope is simulair to Van Leeuwenhoek microscope, but hte shape of the body and the finish are different. Likewise the attachment of the handle and focus mechanism, there is a brass sheet between the body of the microscope and the screw to which the specimen is attached. A second screw turn to the top end of the sheet to effect the focusing. This all become in a mahogany case with dimension 7 x 2,5 x 2 cm.
