Hey’s saw set by Cluley, 1813-1837

A set of three Hey skull saws signed by the maker Cluley of Sheffield, England who was active between 1813-1837. Made of steel with octagonal, studded, ebony handles. Contained in a fitted plush-lined mahogany case (with staining and detaching base). The Wellcome collection holds a few instruments by Cluley.
