A Jules Talrich wax model of a well formed young lady, depicting the seventh month of pregnancy. — According to the Civil Code, article 312 and following, any child born after the one hundred and eightieth day of gestation is deemed viable. The fetus develops more and more rapidly as the end of pregnancy approaches, and the hair generally becomes darker.

Septième mois. — Aux termes du Code civil, article 312 et suivants, tout enfant né après le cent-quatre-vingtième jour de gestation est réputé viable. Le fœtus se développe de plus en plus rapidement à mesure qu’ap¬ proche le terme de la grossesse, et les cheveux deviennent générale¬ ment plus foncés.
