Dr Chasseriaud’s dental case in a walnut case, red velvet interior. Made by “Creuzan à Bordeaux” cutlery firm, an instruments catalogue from 1900 is found on the internet, but this set is earlier, as the instruments in the catalogue are made with metal handles. The set contains twenty instruments including three metal forceps, fourteen instruments for cleaning with faceted blackened pearwood handles, a dental mirror with bone handle, a Dental (or Garengeot) key with turned ebony handle and a small silver bottom puller and lastly the original key.
