A 3 inch Globe by J.Forest Circa 1910. The world consists of twelve time chromolithograph, oceans showing ocean currents, beautiful ebonized pinewood foot with a baluster turned wooden column. There is a Cartouch, Possessions of west european countries and Legende on the globe. The Cartouche: Globe Terrestre / Echelle au 65.000.000 (0,001m pour 66.666 kilometres / Dressé par J. The miniature globes by J. Forest (full name Joseph Forest, 1865–1942) are popular French collectables from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Forest was a geographer and cartographer who founded his publishing house in Paris in 1886.
